Eva Pataki works with CAE’s T&L team to support instructional and research programs as well as professional development for teachers and school leaders.  A former arts supervisor for the DoE, she comes with a strong background in arts education curriculum development and supervision, first at school district and regional level and retired from the DoE as Executive Officer for R&D for Integrated Curriculum and Instruction Learning Support Organization.   

Eva started her carrier in the arts as a painter and got her doctoral degree in arts education from Columbia’s Teachers College.  She also wrote about and curated many exhibitions on Haitian and Dominican art, published many articles on the subject, and “Haitian Art: Art and Kitsch”.  As a board member of the University Council for Arts Education, NYCATA and various other arts organization she advocated for equity of access to quality arts education for all students.
