Remote Arts Learning Resources

The Center for Arts Education remains committed to ensuring that all NYC public school students receive quality arts instruction as part of their pre-K-12 education. We are proud to support educators, parents, and students during this time with CAE’s remote learning activities and other arts education resources.

Contemporary Art Remote Learning Activities

CAE is happy to share a series of remote learning activities and resources for all ages adapted from the Future Arts Initiative, a joint project between CAE and NYCDOE District 29 in Queens. These activities, inspired by diverse contemporary artists, are fun and easy to do in the remote classroom or at home.

The Future Arts Initiative is funded by the US Department of Education and provides hands-on training and assistance for elementary and middle school teachers to integrate multicultural contemporary art into visual arts, social studies, and other classroom instruction. We thank our teaching artists for identifying these resources that will now reach many more educators and families.
